At Cascade Hills Church, we love being a part of our community and getting to serve those around us through giving our time and money. During the current COVID-19 pandemic, many in our community have been unable to work putting them in tough financial situations. That’s why during our Nights of Worship, we are taking up an offering and will be giving 100% of the money collected back to our community. Here’s how: There are dozens of locally owned restaurants in Columbus that depend on the business of our community. When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, these businesses, and their employees, where all left unemployed for nearly 2 months. As the economy begins to open back up, many are still struggling because of the financial situation they were put in. Our goal is to be able to present restaurant owners and their employees with some of the money collected through Nights of Worship to show them that Cascade Hills loves them and wants to see them thrive. House of Heroes is an organization that seeks to recognize and honor military and public safety veterans and/or their spouses who have served our country faithfully and sacrificially. Through home repair and improvement services to these veterans and their spouses, House of Heroes, Inc. volunteers attempt to express gratitude that can never be adequately expressed in words alone. Because of the current COVID-19 pandemic, House of Heroes has seen a tremendous drop in donations received and they have also been unable to fulfill any projects during the stay-at-home orders. We would like to present House of Heroes with a portion of the money collected during our Nights of Worship for future projects. We will also provide volunteer opportunities in the future to help with the projects that we are able to fund. Remember, we do all of these things in hopes that an unchurched person will see God’s love and find Jesus. Thank you of helping us continue our mission of being, “The Church for the Unchurched.”
